Let me suggest to browse the DJGPP FAQ list whenever you have any
problems with DJGPP.  It can make your learning curve less steep.  For
example, the problem with the "missing separator" message is explained
there in section 22.15 of the FAQ.

The latest version of the FAQ is available as v2/faq210b.zip from the
same place you get DJGPP.
