I'm surprised there aren't 300 postings here; I'd bet it's the most common problem with Allegro, or nearly. I found at least 13 archived USENET articles dated June to late August, but no clean and portable solutions were offered. NOW I'm wondering if anyone is working on or knows of a real fix so I can help and/or avoid doing it all myself.
