I am not sure how the mod player in Allegro 3.0 will be. But I know 
that Allegro 3.0 will not support as many format as Mikmod 2.10 (Mikmod 
2.10 has s3m, ult, uni, mod, xm,  ...) and mikmod 3.00 supports IT too. 

Obsolete ??? I don't think so ...
