I have read the FAQ, which states: 8.18 Linker fails for large object files or large libraries A: ld.exe from GNU Binutils 2.7 (which comes with DJGPP v2.01) doesn't have most of these problems, but there are still some cases where you might see such messages. I have DJGPP v2.01 (even with ld-2.8.1 !!) BTW. This happened when I was compiling cc1 from gcc-2.7.0 This one is about 2.7 megs I have a 486-dx2-66 with 16mb, at leat 200mb free hd for my swap, so it can't be the memory, IMO. Has anyone an idea of how to solve this? Hardware solutions like: get more memory, or: switch to linux are no possibilities, cause I'm stuck with my corporate PC with my corporate win95. Any help appreciated! (prefable by email) Ivo Janssen (ivo AT ricardis DOT tudelft DOT nl)
