Haven't we been hearing about the "imminent" death of DOS for about five years now? At this point, there are still far more DOS-based machines than Windows NT based machines (and yes, Virginia, a Windows 95 machine is a DOS-based machine). Although it is possible that within a couple of years there may be no _new_ DOS machines shipping (at least until people rip NT off the hard drive and upgrade it to OpenDOS), the installed base is much slower to upgrade.
