This must be a very good RNG when the comments say that in the worst case, the output is "merely cryptographically secure." But it's probably impossible to port to DOS. Too many kernel-specific'isms. I think a better source (unfortunately I don't have the book handy right now) is to check in Knuth's The Art of Computer Programming.
