Evidently the two are incompatible.
My machine has 8 megs of ram and
while using opendos 7.01 and g77 current version for dos
with or without dpms.exe and with or without cwsdpmi.exe
I get:
f771.exe virtual memory exhausted.
and no compilation on a 3 line fortran test program.
One of those lines was stop too.

Is this a known failure or did I discover something new?
If known, do any work arounds exist?
