The MBR will be changed! (Fuck Bill idiot crazy man) and your program will fail. You can read the BIOS manufacturer information and combine it with HD model. But what happends if the user upgrades your mother or HD? .... (The HDs have a serial number). You can't do much, can you use a file? for example a hiden file in the root ...
