I've downloaded DLM, but I can't figure out how to get the damn thing to work!

I've tried to compile the examples, but they wouldn't compile.  (well, they 
would compile, but wouldn't link)  It seems as if I have to link them using 
one of the DLM programs, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated.
