He's now done a tar-gzip version which is a lot smaller than the zip one (723180 bytes versus 965523). I did try numbers up to snip9706.zip, obviously not quite far enough (the current is snip9707)... Best of all, the snippets are 'free' in some sense (some have licensing arrangements similar to the GNU or Berkeley ones, others are public domain)... Thanks, Chris
