This leads me to believe termcap support was removed between 18.59 and 19.34 in favor of the internal value for term. Unless or until any list or newsgroup member posts a message or article stating that they're using ansi in the termcap file successfully and posts replicable details on it I'll not be doing much more with emacs 19.34. If such information does appear, I'll share it on blind-l since if this editor/wordprocessor can be made to talk it seriously competes with the best the commercial world has to offer in terms of features; performance quality, and support. //eoj jude Microsoft asks me where I want to go today but UNIX gets me there.
