Screen review software and speech synthesizers both of which are mandatory forr me to use don't like the configuration out of the box. I changed the cprintf() to printf() in pc_term.c and tried to rebuild txi390 and got as far as the make 3.75 program trying to make libtxi.a and failing. The last object file it generated before failure was bzero.o. There are several instances of path not found coming up on the screen during the make which leads me to believe I could either be missing a few things or have the system configured incorrectly. I have this similar effort in mind for less-232 and emacs 1934 as well. I haven't tried for emacs yet, but less had more than minor dependencies on conio.h and what I tried inside there probably broke it earlier today. Btw, emacs 1859 worked fine out of the box with speech synthesizers. //eoj jude Microsoft asks me where I want to go today but UNIX gets me there.
