If what you see is that Emacs crashes on startup, then this is a known problem. It is also a nasty one to debug (it goes away when you run Emacs under a debugger), so I would appreciate if you could find out the reason and tell us. Thanks. Until somebody has time to debug this, a wrok-around is to not have exactly 22 environment variables (any other number prevents this bug from happening, or so I'm told).
