Which is better for game programming, DJGPP 2.7.2.1, or Watcom >10.6? Maybe someone can give me the pros and cons of each? Thanks. Before djgpp there was Doom. After djgpp there was Quake. I think that's all that needs to be said. No but seriously they are probably pretty evenly matched in many ways but one of djgpp's major advantages is the portability it offers to other platforms. GNU's gcc is the UNIX standard c compiler and it's fast too. Also the support is amazing (on this newsgroup) and free. Hell the whole thing is free. Who could ask for more. I know I couldn't.
