The graphics routines I'm working with have been developed to draw everything to one screen bank and then blit this directly to the other. However, although I'm using a new 6x86-166+ (though I suspect the video card speed and banks are more relevant), blitting in Allegro 2.1 is too slow. In 640*480 res, it takes about 1/2 second which is too noticable a delay. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of how to quicken this up (apart from getting a half decent video card, which many people do not have!). Otherwise I'll just have to be clever and only update the parts of the screen I need :). Thanks in advance. -- /\ The Flend /--\---/ Email: flend AT globalnet DOT co DOT uk \ / Colony Web Page: www.simsfam.demon.co.uk \ 'Hard work never hurt anyone, but why take the chance?'
