I know it's a perfectly valid file, GNU tar on my linux box has no trouble. When I try to untar it under DOS though, the first file gets extracted, it prints the name of the second, then hangs and needs to be Ctrl-Break'ed. The file is bsd-games.src-1.3.tar.gz, and is (supposedly) available on tsx-11.mit.edu in /pub/linux/sources/usr.games/ or at sunsite.unc.edu in /pub/Linux/games/ . Mine has size 997776, cksum (ie POSIX crc) 92959334, so you can be sure it's the same one. I can email it if someone wants the test case, but I'd rather not. Any thoughts appreciated. It's not desperate for me, but it seems like djtar might need fixing. Nate Eldredge eldredge AT ap DOT net
