I use the dos port of g77 from the djgpp project. All 400 other input files produced .o files except 5 and the message always resembled (with somwhat different numbers, though the magnitude was very similar) the following real example. gcc/bin/as.exe: Can not allocate 36680000 bytes after allocating 7548928 bytes I have 40 MB RAM, but I am using the -O3 option, and I dont know if that eats up memory. If its a source code-specific problem, I can post a sample since its only a few k each. I really need these files to make the library, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much. PS I have compiled this in dos mode and from a dos box, and although there is no error message reported in dos mode, no .o file gets produced, so whats the deal here? I have the c source version, too, but considering the complexity of the equations, speed is a very serious factor. -- John Pavlakis johnp3 AT idt DOT net "You can lead a yak to water, but you can't teach an old dog to make a silk purse out of a pig in a poke." -- Opus Penguin
