I have downloaded a number of demos and games which use Allegro, including earlier today, Neil Chinnery's excellent Caveman game. However with all these pieces of software the sound that is generated comes out as a cacaphony. This is in no way a slight of the software writers, its got to be something up with my machine or setup. My blaster variable is currently set up as: BLASTER=A220 I11 D3 My sound setup seems to work for other games (e.g.: Quake, Red Alert) and software. If it is of any note I am running the software in a DOS box under Windows 95. Could someone please explain how I can get the sound to work correctly as I would like to enjoy these games in their entirety. I don't actually use Allegro (yes I know I'm a sinner) so I don't know anything about how it needs the system set up. Thanks in advance John ________________________________________________________________ Parallax Solutions Ltd.
