I used to deprotect (_djgpp_nearptr_enable()) all memory to access VIDEO ram, but under DOSemu, the kernel won't let me... So I used my own allocated segment, but that's painful a coding :) * I still can't use the VBE2.0's LFB because its physical address needs being mapped into process' virtual memory (under DOSemu)... And that usually fails because of the DPMI not being awared of that fact, and mapping outside... Any workaround ? Or should DOSemu's supplied DPMI check this ? bye, Skal --------------------------------------------------------- Pascal Massimino. e-mail: Pascal DOT Massimino AT ens DOT fr http://www.eleves.ens.fr:8080/home/massimin/index.html.en Ecole Normale Superieure. 45, rue d'Ulm. 75005 Paris.
