Well I guess because the people are more rational than Bill G.
Why you'll waste disk space if you can avoid it?
For example RHIDE compiles to a 3Mb file, do you think that the people will be 
happy having this big thing in your hard disks when the file can be compressed 
to 550Kb? (2Mb are debug symbols).
As I said before is possible to create DJGPP programs with graphics, sounds, 
animations and more using 100Kb or less. So if the people see such a program 
and then creates a simple Hello World program of 40Kb (or more) is confused.
Lamentably all the problem is just because they doesn't read the FAQ, but I 
think that the question is very logic. (No posting to the group is another 
issue).
