Some time ago, somebody posted here a problem with the feature that DJGPP 
startup code enables UMBs.  I cannot seem to find that message anymore, 
even by searching the mail archives.  If the person who posted that 
message still wants to hear ideas how to solve that problem, please 
repost the description of the problem.  I think I can advise about a 
work-around that doesn't involve recompiling the startup code and/or 
CWSDPMI.
