As patching the > djgpp binaries would be. I think such a utility is a good idea, provided that somebody maintains a site where binary patches can be downloaded. And btw, the next version of GNU Patch program will support patching binary files using binary diffs generated by GNU Diff. You might consider comparing BinPatch with GNU Patch to see whether there are any significant advantages.
