The Pentium Compiler Group Home page will now have links to precompiled binaries for DJGPP. The PCG can be found at either http://www.goof.com or http://nightflight.com/~pcg. I have just now (10:30 AM on the 16th) ftp'd the files over to them. The guy taking care of updating the web site is in germany, so it may be a while before it gets updated. So What is it? Its a replacement for gcc, cpp, cc1, and cc1plus that is built from a snapshot off of the working tree for GCC 2.8.0 from May 9th 1997, patched to include additional optimization for Pentiums and Pentium Pros. My initial observations is that its pretty darn good, and I haven't had any problems yet. For more information on it see the FAQ from the PCG homepage. Andrew
