I'm looking for a Newsreader for my laptop (free or shareware) which will maintain synchronization with the .newsrc file stored on my ISP's server. NewsWatcher, a Macintosh newsreader uses ftp to transfer the local newsrc file before and after each session, so that no matter where I read Usenet, the database was consistent. Now that I'm primarily using a PC, I've been unable to find such a tool && have been using tin via Telnet to the ISP. There must be a Newsreader for the PC which stays synchronized. Hope someone has such knowlegde. Reply by post &/or email at your preference. Again, sorry for the off-topic post, but I've tried the 'proper' groups to no avail, && this group is clearly attended by those with the expertise about tools for PCs.
