Can anyone help? I learned fromm a book. Can't remember the author, I got it from the library and it was called like "C for Basic Programmers" or "Basic to C". Something with "C" and "Basic" in the title. It's small, but very good teacher. Also "C for Dummies" is excellent. Also realising that this could be the source of some flame, Pascal is a nice intermediate step between Basic and C. Just a suggestion. It's not like knowing Pascal will damage your brain (although I'm sure there'll be some conjecture here). And besides it helps knowing another language for jobs and such (trust me, I don't use it but my employers do). One thing to keep in mind. DO NOT LEARN C++ BEFORE YOU LEARN C!!! Teaching a friend programming, who started off in C++ and I'm still picking up the pieces :) -- _ ___ #_~`--'__ `===-, +----------------------------------------+ `.`. `#.,// | Blaine Hodge + ,_\_\ ## #\ | bhodge AT gpu DOT srv DOT ualberta DOT ca | `__.__ `####\ | blaine AT cs DOT ualberta DOT ca | ~~\ ,###'~ | http://ugweb.cs.ualberta.ca/~blaine/ | \##' +----------------------------------------+
