No problems. I am using a bootable diskette to boot into OpenDOS (and yes I used pnunpack to unpack the rest of the files in the OpenDOS directory.) The problem is with multitasking when using Task Manager. You can NOT access the Task Manager Menu (the one you get into through CNTRL-ESC) when you are in the program. In other words, you can NOT access the Task Manager menu through the text user interface (as in RHIDE) or the GUI (as in 3ds3 R3 for example). You have to shell into DOS from RHIDE (or 3ds3 R3) then start another task through CNTRL-ESC. The problem does not appear through the program Edit that comes with OpenDOS. You can access the menu through it. But you guessed it right! Not being able to access the task manager from within the app defeats the whole purpose of multitasking, since you have to suspend the app through shelling into OpenDOS first. Finally, the povray modeller Moray (uses gw4dos) is rebooting the computer. So, what is the deal with failing to access the task manager menu from within the TUI or GUI of a DOS app? Sorry I posted this here! I guess I should not! can someone tell me where to send this sort of inquiries? Thanks, Maan -- Maan M. Hamze mmhamze AT mail DOT utexas DOT edu http://leb.net/~mmhamze
