It ran Windows for Workgroups and Microsoft Office 4.2 with no problem at all. (previous to that it ran Win 3.0 and Wordperfect with no prob...before that I never ran Windows) The only source of any incompatiblity I ever had was Superstor, because the Wing Commander (v1) installation didn't like the compressed drive I was trying to install it to. After that I switched to Novell DOS, and it definitely had problems with a few games, and I thought the multi-tasking was kinda shaky, but I never really spent a lot of time with it, since I had pretty much competely switched to Linux by then. As an interesting note for several editions of DOSEMU I constantly got a system load of 1.00 whe using the MSDOS kernel/shell when idle, but switching to the DRDOS kernel/shell dropped it back to .10 (that was on a 386DX40) I think a lot of people are like me, only ocassionally use DOS and Windows and would much rather use an open product. More importantly most of us are praying for direct ext2fs access. (hint) Viewmax was pretty cool, I was never aware of any applications for its API though. It sure beat the hell out of MSDOS 5's DOSHELL. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Imagine, a cloth such conviction to keep you warm in a winter storm Imagine darkness in the day and nighttime simply falls away I'm just a time machine, not young, not old I'm about halfway between a sleep and a sleep" --------------------------------------------------------------------- GBH(tm) [your secret society ad here] KoX ARSCC
