While compiling a large optimization program we have faced while linking fortran sourcec -> c bins(via f2c) ld.exe fails with the following message bfd assertion failed coff-i386.c:420 and a SIGSEGV along with the dump On checking with a hello world prog the same is happening on a Win95 machine with 16 MB RAM and all Memory settings set to auto for the various progs and and the DPMI thing set to 65535.
