You can do this by typeing "DPMI OFF" from the command line. There is a bug in the EMM386 DPMI code that makes _anything_ done with djgpp choke and die. This problem is being worked on. When you turn DPMI off from EMM386, cwsdpmi takes over and all is well. You can use 4dos as a primary shell, but you need to modify a few things. Take a look at the readme file for exactly what. g.
