Let us face it: MS DOS is a joke! A big joke and an insult to every one who ever used a PC! This is quite sad since DOS programs that run in DOS run much faster than in windows. And DOS programs run faster than their windows counterparts. Specially when it comes to graphics and sound. If OpenDOS is a multitasking environment this by itself is worth the trouble.
