The original release of DJGPP v2.01 had a bug in info.exe that would behave like you described. Please make sure that your txi390b.zip archive is dated October 29, 1996 or later; info.exe inside it should have the following directory entry: 166912 10-24-96 22:51 bin/info.exe If yours is earlier, please download and install the latest release.
