If you're used to an IDE environment like Borland or Turbo C, then RHIDE is a fantastic program! You still have to get used to the DJGPP-isms, but that is always the case whether you use RHIDE or not. If you are used to a command-line environment, then you may prefer to use Emacs and Make to build your programs. The bottom line is that there is no "best" way; it all depends on what you're comfortable with. :) BTW, the version of RHIDE available from SimTel (v2apps/rhide10b.zip) is _not_ the latest - you need to go to http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/~rho/rhide.html to get the most recent updates. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- | John M.
