In my last message I stated that

  set EMACSTEST=nul

caused the version of emacs generated by:

  exe2coff emacs.exe
  stubify emacs
  stubedit emacs.exe minstack=512k
  del emacs

to work.

This observation appears to have been made in error.

  set EMACSTEST=nul

only causes the emacs with the original stub to work.  The emacs with
the new stub crashes immediately after the newline after the file name
in response to the first C-xC-f, regardless of the state of EMACSTEST.
