I think you forgot to activate the little checkbox before the library
in the libraries dialog of RHIDE. It should look something like that:

If the above not helped you, you can use RHIDE to create a 
makefile for you (menu Project/Write makefile). Than try to build
the program from commandline with GNU make like

make -f <YOUR_PROJECT>.mak

and see what happens there.
