From: kg AT mykonos DOT rc DOT rit DOT edu (Kyriakos Georgiou) Subject: problem with make.exe To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Fri, 23 Dec 1994 23:16:59 -0500 (EST) Organization: Rochester Institute of Technology, Research Corp. Rochester NY, USA Phone: (716) 475-5819 Operating-System: Linux 1.1.52 i586 Hi, I just got bnu24bn.zip djeoe112.zip gpp260.zip mak371bn.zip djdev112.zip gas23bn.zip gzp124bn.zip txi310bn.zip djdoc112.zip gcc260bn.zip lgp260bn.zip and installed correctly (hopefully) everything. Then: cd djgpp/samples/hello tryit.bat compiled and run just fine! But, any other sample that comes with a makefile does not compile if I 'make'. Seems like something is going on with make itself, because if: cd djgpp/samples/pagetest gcc -O2 pagetest.c -o pagetest it compiles just fine. but if I: cd djgpp/samples/pagetest make it prints the 'gcc -O2 pagetest.c -o pagetest' on the screen, and then `deadlocks' (numlock doesn't change the light indicator.) Mem reports around 13Mb of free extended memory. If anyone has gone through this before, or it sounds familiar, and you know what I am doing wrong, please alert me. regards, K.Georgiou
