Date: 11 Oct 94 15:54 -0700 From: Philip Hodder To: Subject: Solved: Very strange behaviour! I mailed this a couple of days ago but it bounced. Second attempt: Hi, Thanks to everyone who responded! While I never tracked down the exact cause, I ended up re-writing my memory allocation stuff, and that seemed to solve it. So now it works except when I use the -O flag to optimise it - and then it only crashes in a particular place. That's not really a problem - I just won't optimise it! - but it did lead me to wonder what exactely the -O switch does to the code. Since there is no "ANSI" standard for optimization I suppose that the behaviour depends on the compiler - and isn't *guaranteed* to work? Also, I noticed that in "keys.h" there is no defintion for K_Control_Tab and K_Control_Return. Aren't these legitimate key combinations? If they are could someone tell me the right codes to use? Thanks once again - this list is *very* helpful! And no flames (like on some news groups) - what more could you want!
