Thanks for the help everyone.  I have done some more exploring, and can
confirm what DJ said about these #pragmas.  If the command # pragma
implementation by itself apears on a line above where you include the
same-base-name header file, the program works as advertised.  Simply naming
the two files the same will not cause the #pragma implementation command to
be implied, as the documentation states.  Apparently this documentation has
been fixed somewhere.   Does anyone know if the usual gnu sites have this
fixed documentation (of diffs thereof)??
