From: t DOT hulek AT ic DOT ac DOT uk Subject: 1.12 To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Sat, 20 Aug 1994 16:52:56 +0100 (bst) I am new to this list, but I have been using djgpp for some time now. Thanks for djgpp!!! Problem: 1) 1.11m5 was quite stable, I did not have any real problems. I tried to upgrade to 1.12, but i seems quite unusable. Invoking gcc from the command line works ok. But if I invoke it from a makefile, the machine hangs before cpp.exe finishes. On go32 'topline', the free memory jumps to some funny 8 digits value. Background: Toshiba 1850, 386SX, 4Mb RAM, happens under DOS 5.0 (just plain himem.sys loaded). Question: 2) Does anyone work on truly ANSI standard headers? I would appreciate those. The headers that come with djgpp 1.12 / gcc 2.60 are now better, as some of the names that ANSI requires are added. But, the name-space is extremely polluted, all prototypes of UNIXish functions are used even with the -ansi switch. Thanks: 3) I am happy that gdb finally made it to djgpp. That was the missing piece.
