Sorry. It > might be of somewhat widespread interest, though; I'm not sure. [ I know that Chris has solved his problem, but I thought I'd respond anyway. ] Just as a data point, I'm running OEmacs on a pretty non-standard system, and everything works fine under MSDOS & Windows: 60MHz Pentium, Adaptec 2842 VLB SCSI controller, VLB video card, DOS 6.2, ASPI7DOS driver, QEMM 7.03, 4DOS 4.02, PAS16 soundcard (2 DMAs & 2 IRQs used!), and a couple other odds and ends. MEM/C also reports about 15 drivers and TSRs loaded, with ~624K low memory free (1K=1024, *not* 1000). As for OEmacs, I just haven't had the time to work on it. There doesn't seem to be much interest in it, and I've been buried in other work. The current release of GNU Emacs "supports" MSDOS, and the only major missing feature is color face support. If the FSF would only support faces (I've heard that the code is done), there wouldn't be any need for OEmacs (unless I ever finish my native Windows port of it). -- Darryl Okahata Internet: darrylo AT sr DOT hp DOT com DISCLAIMER: this message is the author's personal opinion and does not constitute the support, opinion or policy of Hewlett-Packard or of the little green men that have been following him all day.
