Subject: Help about fflush(stdin);

I need to clear the keyboard input from any previous input using only
ANSI-C functions. When I use TurboC or Microsoft-C the following sentence
works fine:
        
        fflush (stdin);

but GCC seems to ignore this sentence. 

Can you help me?
