When I start tuning programs under UNIX-like OSes, I can easily see the advantages in runtime by using timex. Using djgpp, I have the possibilities of using my watch or to put some timing routines into my source, thereby changing the source itself. I guess it should be possible to implement a timex-like functionality into go32 - perhaps distinguishing user- system- and elapsed time ??? I'm not good at near-to-OS-programming, but this might be an idea Thomas Eifert +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Thomas Eifert | | | | Aachen University of Technology RWTH Aachen | | Computing Center Rechenzentrum | | Seffenter Weg 23 | | D-52074 Aachen | | | | E-Mail: eifert AT rz DOT RWTH-Aachen DOT de Tel.: (0241) 80-4890 | | Fax.: (0241) 888-134 | +------------------------------------------------------------------+
