The DEC Alpha C compiler objects to every CR in a CR/LF-delimited file. Borland C compilers accept LF-delimited files, but tlink objects to a .DEF file without CR's. And under os-9, files are CR delimited and \n means CR. (All these comments apply to particular versions which I have used.) Grief is the right word...
