Anyways, after applying the maint. 1-4 fixes, I cannot compile as I get a "Malformed input file: c:/djgpp/lib/crt0.o (not rel or archive)" error. Using gcc -v I can see that I using the ld and crt0.o from where my sources are. There are no other ld or crt0.o's on my drive for that matter. ld is dated 5-31-93, and crt0.o is dated 3-09-94.
