From: Paul Harness Subject: GDB corruped my hard disk *&!"*&@ To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu (djgpp) Date: Wed, 30 Mar 1994 11:04:15 +0100 (BST) I tried out GDB yesterday. After a good start, experimenting on an application of a few thousand lines, it suddenly crashed, leaving the hard disk light on. The only option was to reboot! As a result my hard disk is SERIOUSLY CORRUPTED :-((, and I'm writing this on another machine. I think GDB crashed when the program called ScreenUpdate() (from pc.h ,I think thats the right function name), although the function had been called with the same arguments previously. My application doesn't have any bugs (as far as I know), I was just using it to test GDB. -- Paul Harness, | Internet: gapa83 AT udcf DOT gla DOT ac DOT uk Department of Physics and Astronomy, | University of Glasgow, | Tel +44-41-339-8855 ext 8359 Glasgow, G12 8QQ, SCOTLAND. | Fax +44-41-334-9029
