To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Subject: DJGPP 1.11 Graphics Date: Sun, 20 Mar 94 11:17:47 +0200 From: eliz AT is DOT elta DOT co DOT il I just installed DJGPP 1.11, and have these problems with its graphics: - I must use ``nodpmi'' in the GO32 environment variable, otherwise I get General Protection Fault when doing graphics. This happens both in the t05 test program in the tests directory and the grtask program in the samples/grtask directory. I use Quarterdeck's QEMM 7.03 and QDPMI which came with it (1.02 if I'm correct). - The built-in VGA driver behaves differently (and, as far as I could understand from the program sources, incorrectly) than the vga.grd driver in the drivers subdirectory. - I have a VESA Local-Bus SVGA with OAK OTI-087 chipset, but when I tried to use the supplied OAK.GRD driver, I got the graphics on the upper 1/4 of the screen only :-( Also, I couldn't find documentation of what is displayed by GO32 on the top line of the display. Some of the info I guessed, but some of it is still a mystery (especially those quick-flickering items at the right corner...). Thanks, Eli Zaretskii
