Mailer: WinNET Mail, v2.04 Reply-To: Stephen Benson To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Fri, 18 Mar 1994 08:13:18 Subject: S3 graphics From: Stephen Benson I have an 2/3 year old Orchid Fahrenheit 1280 with 1 MB and (I think) a S3 86c911 chip. It's not an easy card but using TSRs etc I (usually) survive. I'd like to get down to some graphics work in dj's g++ but expect trouble... so, can anyone give me any pointers on using the card with djgpp (what driver, besides vga.grd, to use etc?, addressing peculiarities?, should I try to write a driver?) Is there anything suitable in the GRX drivers zip? I want to try out the SUIT, SIPP, LUG, SPHIGS packages too. Any words of warning or sage advice? Thanks in advance. -- Stephen R.
