I am not familiar with the C&T graphics chips, but the ET4000 should
work. (GRX has been developed on a machine with an ET4000!) Are you 
using the ET4000 driver? Your GO32 environment variable should look
like something like this (using the GRX driver):

  GO32=driver <grx_path>/drivers/et4000.grn gw 1024 gh 768 nc 256 ...
