WUARCHIVE.WUSTL.EDU got completely trashed by an OS bug about January 12, 1994, and they did not have recent backup tapes due to tape drive hardware problems they didn't know about. Therefore it's not necessarily clear what is on their disk at the moment. Be extremely careful to verify versions of *anything* you get there. DJ tried pretty hard to come up with a 8.3 compatible naming scheme that was sufficiently informative, and there just aren't enough characters in a DOS filename to tell you everything. Lots of other authors don't even try, or don't have the version control scheme automated into their release building scripts, or whatever. I don't know, WUARCHIVE may be in good shape by the time you read this; these guys are pros. But three days ago they were still scrambling, and in the heat of the moment they may have made a mistake or two. So just watch out, for your own safety. --Steve
