What I do: char data[1024*2000]; ... write(path, data, sizeof(data)); This takes about 12 seconds on my PC, even though I have set buffers to 99. Is there a way to speed things up, like changing something in dos or setting different buffer sizes in dos - djgpp ?? Please answer also by mail. Hans-Juergen
