Pardon the new subject, etc., but when I hit reply to your mail, it crashes my mail client. Anyway, I posted the source file where the sources were mixed up with those "qlog singularity error" lines. Those lines were from pow_vec.c, which is a generated file. Somehow the "qlog singularity error" messages are being written to the source file. I don't know how they appear in the source file. All I know at the moment is: With your qhead.h change: "qlog ... error" lines appear in sources Without your qhead.h change: sources don't have these lines (BTW I'm not trying to be confrontational. I'm just trying to be clear.) I wish I had more time to investigate right now, but I don't. Maybe next weekend...although I'll probably try to make an official package of Perl 5.8.0 then.
